About me

Every person has their own path to walk and a unique story to tell to make the world a little more beautiful.

Hi, I'm Jochem, born in '88 in Utrecht. From the moment I took my first steps, I've been focused on creating a good connection with the people around me. I'm both sensitive and analytical, a nice combination, but also a combination that has really gotten in my way. I'd like to share something about that, so that you get to know me a little better as a person (and coach):

From a young age I doubted myself

On the outside I usually appeared cheerful and playful. But if someone could have looked inside, they would have seen that I often had critical thoughts about myself, and that I was very concerned with the needs and expectations of those around me.

It remained that way for a long time

School and career came easy to me, and apparently I had it all figured out: a diploma, a nice job, a good salary, long trips, large groups of friends and a nice home. But I wasn't really happy.

I was in my head a lot

I thought about all the things I wasn't doing well, and how I wanted to do that differently. My work and relationships were also a source of stress and frustration. And I kept worrying about the big choices in my life.

I felt like I was being held back by something

As if who I was wasn't fully there, and I wasn't reaching my full potential. I was longing for answers and for movement. For the feeling of making a difference, and of mattering.

In the last five years my life has changed completely...

My life has become lighter and more fun

I am less bothered by my inner critic, and my intuition helps me to make choices without worrying. I also notice a huge change in my relationships. I have a warm and open contact with my parents, the bond with friends is deepening, and in my relationship I experience a new kind of freedom and security in which we can both be completely ourselves.

My main insight

From the moment I decided to start working on personal development to really get to know myself, no longer to improve myself, everything started to change. I discovered who I am, what I find important, and what was holding me back from being and showing myself. Then I started to shape my life from the inside out, instead of the other way around.

This transformation has changed all aspects of my life. My life has started to flow, and that brings me peace, joy and satisfaction. Of course I also have a bad day, but even on those days I am happy with who I am and with my life.

I am grateful that I can share my knowledge and experience

It is my wish to guide as many people as possible in making a similar life-enriching transformation. To help you discover who you really are beneath all the layers of adaptation to the outside world. So that you too, from your strength and intuition, can walk your own path and make the world a little more beautiful.

Guiding the journey within

As a coach, you will get to know me as friendly, patient and decisive. I understand that it can be quite exciting to make the journey inward, and I know what it takes. I have specialized in working with 'inner parts', such as Internal Family Systems, Voice Dialogue and Inner Child work. Parts work is the most powerful method I know to get to know yourself and break patterns.
